Christopher Cakanac, optometrist, is a native of Pittsburgh and began his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. After three years at Pitt, Dr. Cakanac transferred to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he received his undergraduate degree in professional sciences, his residency in primary eye care and obtained his doctorate.
His professional appointments include membership to the American Board of Optometry. He is also a Member of the editorial review board of the Review of Optometry, Jobson Publishing and Butterworth Heinemann Publishing. He also holds the position of Editor of The Optometric Procedure Series.
As a true Pittsburgher, Dr. Cakanac has a passion for golf and hockey. He is on the Board of Governors for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League and an avid golfer.

Since you arrived you will be attended by great staff. They do a complete eye exam. They are very careful with the cleaning of every machine before you use it. You don’t have to wait too long in order to see the doctor who by the way is very clear to explain your condition. He is very professional and polite. I will highly recommend this place.
