On Friday, October 4th, AIO hosted the 2019 Ophthalmology Update Series at the Pittsburgh Field Club.
Over 50 local optometrists attended the 4 hour continuing education conference conducted by AIO physicians. The course included updates on new technology, such as the use of the NGENUITY® 3D Visualization System from Alcon, and the new AcrySof® IQ PanOptix® Trifocal IOL.
AIO is the only practice in Western Pennsylvania using the 3D NGENUITY system and was the first practice in Western PA to implant the new PanOptix trifocal IOL. Optometrists were able to watch 3D video of cataract and retina surgery and a video testimonial from the first PanOptix patient in Western PA!
Following the educational event, the optometrists enjoyed an afternoon of perfect fall weather for golf with our AIO team at the Field Club.
