AIO’s DR. BUSQUETS PERFORMS RETINAL SURGERY ON HURRICANE MARIA VICTIMS AIRLIFTED FROM PUERTO RICO TO PITTSBURGH
Dr. Miguel Busquets performs retinal surgery on two patients airlifted from Puerto Rico on a flight sponsored by the Heinz Family Foundation in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria.
Dr. Busquets, who earned his medical degree at Duke University and also graduated from Harvard, is a native of Puerto Rico. He is leading the practice’s efforts to aid victims of Hurricane Maria who are having difficulty accessing medical care due to the island’s slow recovery from the storm.
